Transplant and Lupus

Hi everyone I was just wondering if anyone on here has had a transplant with Lupus I have been called 18 times three of those where matches but whe harvested the kidneys suffered damage. I am just patiently waiting but would like to hear of some other expierences if any out there.

Hi everyone , got another call yesterday but turned out not to be another atch my antibodies did it again!! Gets fustrating but i knoe Gods got it all in control!

Hi Shannon,
I don't know anyone with Lupus who has had a transplant, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you. You are right, God is in control and there must be a reason why He is making you wait through all this. But hang in there. I'm sure it's going to happen. Keep us posted as to your progress. I had a transplant myself in February, so I may be able to answer some of your questions as long as it isn't complicated by Lupus

Thank you, its nice to hear when someone has had a transplant and things are going good for them, out of the 19 calls three has matched but due to infections in two and the third was damaged the kidneys was not availabe to anyone. I did have the pleasure of meeting a receipent of the first time I got a call the kidney did not work out for me but it did work for the next person behind me. It was wonderful to meet a person that still benifited from that kidney. I thank God everyday for his strength and his blessings on my life. Thanks again and I will take you up on your offer to answering questions for me when I get my transplant.

Hi,
I may or may not have Lupus. No one has been able to determine what my current health issues are, but i did go to a specialist who said a rash i had on my legs was similar to the symptoms.
I had some bloodwork taken, but no one has been able to figure out how to read my bloodwork and can't see the specialist for another 2 months as they are busy.

I have strange allergies also and that bloodwork was misplaced- so that does not help either.
I know i have some strange health issues, but do not know what they are.
To add to the mystery, no one has any idea what my kidneys stopped working from.
Even after all the tests they did in hos[ital my chart actually says "cause unknown" and most doctors find that hard to beleive.

I had 2 transplants and both times the people at the hos[pital majorly screwed up.
First time gave me too much of some medications.
Second time, was refused saline and fluids and had kidney damage in hospital. They are refusing to release my chart from that so have to get a lawyer.

One of my friends does have some kidney problems and something else and she had to take a ton of prednisone and steroids ect... she had a kidney transplant and it stopped working- not too sure why. She also eventually had to have 2 hip replacements and she is only 22 now...
