I am a match for my husband but I'm scare to donate

Well my tittle says it all, lol I am waiting on blood test and kidney mra results to know if surgery is a go but now we are both thinking about it. we have a 10 year old girl and we are scare if something were to happen to us in the operating table she will be alone. I can't find any moms out there who have donated its mostly single people who donate or couples with no kids. I don't know what to do.
