Sorry guy’s last week work was very crazy\busy. I'm feel ok just counting the days that I'm completely of the prednisone. Well I’m down to 10mg per/day of prednisone.
I’m notice as I go down on the prednisone I’m getting up less at night so far that’s good. I wonder how long would it take for the prednisone to be completely gone from my body?
Dr. Virgina Savin led some research on identifying this. I had blood evaluated while at the NIH for a drug study intended to slow down protein for those with FSGS. I recall I was given a # that was to indicate the likelihood of reoccurance of FSGS after transplant. It reoccured in my first transplant within months.
I was able to see Dr. Savin(we are both in WI) before my second transplant and chose to pursue plasmapheresis and a non-related donor for the second transplant. Also I was able to be included in a research study where I took Galactose (sugar water, really) to bind to the galactose. I have only a trace of protein three years post-op
Well... Coming off Prednisone is not as easy as they say!!!
five days since my last dose of prednisone and i have body ack, fatigue, muscle aches and some nausea after eating.
I hate Prednisone!!!
Thank you Misela for the info.
that's awesome that your protein is that low.
Would you say it was the Galactose that help you?
