What to do?! :-/

My GFR is at 11. Not diabetic and have no symptoms except working 40 hours is very tiresome. Back in December I got a temp job as a typist for a public records searching company here in Sacramento. When I got hired on I was pretty open about my kidney disease, stage 4/5 (it fluctuates) not on dialysis. I told them I have a lot of DR appointments. HR was fine with it. A month into my employment, I got called into HR because they had heard good things about my work, gave me a permanent position and a pay raise! I was so happy! They asked if I could handle the demands of my new position and I said yes. I told them if I had any appointments I would let them know as far out as possible. I even rescheduled a couple to fit their schedule better. They seemed fine with it. On Presidents Day weekend, I wasn't feeling well, on the sofa with body aches and generally feeling crappy. A lot of people at work had been sick and out of the office the couple weeks prior. I called in sick ONE and my only time on Tuesday after Pres. Day. That afternoon I get a call from HR saying " Your services are no longer needed." I was blindsided! I asked why? She said it was because of all of my absences. I was so shocked and pissed off. She mailed me my final check and I sit here wondering if there's anything I can do. I'm in the process of trying to get unemployment and with my kidneys I am speaking with an attorney to try to get on disability.
After 4 years on the list, On Saturday I got my first call for a KIDNEY!! It turned out not to be a match during the cross match phase. I felt so bad for the family losing their loved one that night. I have high antigens that will attack the transplanted kidney. I won't match with 90% of B Positives. Why are people so unsympathetic to our situation??

Miss M. ..you'll get through this, and over this, I've no wish to sound like your events are trivial, we no they're not.
And yes, many folks 'Just don't get it'. You'll find space to reflect, to look-back, to look forward, but focus on the day your in. It's so very easy to race ahead when things go very well but, equally when reflecting back on events you'll choose between great times and poor. Look at today only. You'll begin, and build with it an enormous treasure trove of REAL CONFIDENCE, not the type when folks go skydiving for so-called inspiration highs, whether it's a dangerous sport or looking at a person in media whom they've picked as an inspiring figure head. Neither they, your closest friends, partners, relatives will ever get this! This situation Miss M. will, as YOU WILL begin to appreciate the further you begin and desire to take on board improved upon by YOU alone, a truly incredible tool to inspire your own self-beliefs to further take you to a world that only 'Charlie Bucket' has. You'll not have the time for idol sympathy, only laughter and telling your specialist physician "how truly fab you've been, better than you've felt in years". Of course you'll have down shifts, sometimes every day not seemingly to improve. Problems NEVER last long. I can hear from you great msg of confidence already, you are someone who pushes, demands more than what's on offer. You have already a belief to fight for what's yours, ..a better greater future for tomorrow, 'because I demand it' and 'I will get it', because I'm in charge of my own choices and destinations. This is a far far better world you're involved in than you are likely to perceive right now. Physicians are not and do not have the holy grail, ..the Kryptonite, ..the winning ticket. They can't be Charlie Bucket, only offer support and assistance. Only you will hold that winning ticket, and only you will hold this incredible state of self-belief and feel like Charlie Bucket every day, ..even when it may rain. Stay In touch, let us know.
