Combination PD and HD dialysis treatments

I have been on Peritoneal Dialysis for the past 5 years and my doctor has been suggesting that I convert to HD. I read that it is possible to perform both HD and PD combination modalities. My PD catheter is still fully functional. Has anyone had any experience doing combination HD and PD treatments?

I read that there was a clinical trial a few years back, and no advantage could be found for doing this, it seems.
