I understand exactly where you coming from on this issue, as it is a given, that you will encounter some nice and considerate techs and nurses, as well as some that are just there for a paycheck, and it is a shame, that we as dialysis pts. have to endure both kinds of characters. I am in my 21 year of dilaysis, but in the last 10 years, I have been on PD, but just last year, I had to return to hemo, temporarily, to have an umblicial hernia repaired, which took all of six months to finally be scheduled for the surgery. I returned to PD during the christmas holidays last year, and I did encounter a few unpleasant techs and nurses at my unit, but for the most part, most of them, had compassion and consideration for their pts., I did however, shared this on my personal blog, it is way too much to go into on the davita forum, so if you are interested, you can read what I had to share, online at www.myrenallife.blogspot.com, to get to that particular topic, go to last years post - between July and November, I hope you will consider joining as a follower to my blog as well, and I do welcome comments, thoughts and concerns to any of my post, so do chime in with your thoughts, concerns and comments.Originally posted by HonestAngel77 View PostI know how you feel. depression is an emotion we seem to let ourselves get to... get out and move ,,do something to keep yourselve busy... ask doc for pills to help you ...go shopping ,,take up a hobby.. we are on dialysis to keep us fit... not to get depressed... think about it.... have a good day .... smile and go onAdapt and overcome.......

Oh my god, I cant believe the da vita techs and nurses are anything but nice. I am only saying this because where I went for 15 months is a center in Spring Hill Fl. They have such nice people that really care about you, how you're dealing and talk to you like close family members. Im so sorry to hear not all centers can be as great as the one I went to. If there is a super visor you can report to I would. Hope things get better.

I've been on PD for almost 2 months and feel well most of the time. Sometimes, though, my spirits slip and I can get to wondering what the point of it all is. I still have very little energy and zero strength or stamina, but sometimes it's so severe that I can't stay awake and sleep more that 20 hours a day. Those are the days when I feel hopeless. Most of the time I'm perfectly happy and content. What gets me through the rough times are my faith and knowing those tough times are temporary.

Hi sadiestowe, thank you for your message! It sounds like you have such a positive outlook on everything which is so great and inspirational! Whenever you start to feel down, I'd recommend speaking with a local social worker. They can help you get through those difficult times. These forums can also serve as a really great support network, where you can connect with others who are going through or have gone through the same thing as you. Let me know if you have any questions with myDaVita in the future. I hope you have a great week!Originally posted by sadiestowe View PostI've been on PD for almost 2 months and feel well most of the time.
